    Hi All,
I am a 24 yr old speech and language therapist considering moving to Qatar in the new year. I was wondering if any families out there have had any SLT experience in Qatar? If so could they possibly give me a contact such as a clinic manager or SLT working in Qatar.
Also, I'm an Irish Dancing teacher for bun, tus, mean, ard and open levels of all ages. I also have taught set dancing to teenagers in Gaeltacht and older adults in retirement home and in senior clubs. So find me a contact and I'll be over in a jif getting classes going too.

    Thanks a mil,
    Ciara

They are not as fundamentalist about covering up as you would first think. Once your shoulders, top of your arms and the knees are covered you'll be fine. however my husband was stopped for not wearing sports clothes doing his walk in the park! There is a fashion police believe it or not aka modesty police in the malls and you can get fined. I wore a skirt to the knee to work the other day and you do feel conspicuous moreso because the foreign workers nearly fall over at the sight of a pair of legs!

Hi Bob, are you looking for an Irish dancing teacher for children or adults, or just a club to dance with other people, like set dancing etc.?

Is there an Irish dancing teacher among us in Doha? I would love to hear from anyone who can teach my 11 year old daughter who is by no means a beginner.

It's not the norm to have your shoulders exposed, it's not banned per se and 99% of the time nobody would pass any remark, but there is the possibility. Mind you, you would feel uncomfortable in the shopping centre of supermarket if you were wearing skimpy clothes so easier just to cover up!
